Another dose of v12 engines, beautiful women, and filthy rich drug lords has arrived. This is Fast and Furious 4, another chapter in the lives of Vin Diesel and Paul Walker who play the Dom Torretto and Brian O'Conner fans have grown to love from the beginning.

I must admit I have yet to read a review with positive feedback. Despite that displeasure, I was on the edge of my seat by the first few minutes into the thrilling attempt to hijack a gasoline semi. I am the proud owner of a hot rod of my own and a copy of all the Fast and Furious movies. Needless to say, I was looking forward to it coming to theatres. I even arrived a little early.

The plot is simple and complicated at the same time. Diesel and Walker end up confronting each other only to realize they share the same enemy. Dom (Diesel) is the ex-con man who is determined to kill the man who assassinated his girlfriend. Walker (O'Conner) works for the FBI whose latest assignment is to track a drug dealer down. Another hope for O'Conner is to once again steal the heart of Dom's sister, Mia, whom he left in a movie prior to this.

These two main men have had a rocky friendship before, and eventually team up to track down their universal enemy. While going undercover, they are stunned to find themselves in Mexico, drug trafficking across the border working for the drug lord, Braga.

I was impressed with the never-ending amount of flashy exotic and muscle cars. The action scenes were somewhat new and somewhat predictable. I will say the beginning action scene with a semi rolling towards Dom and his girlfriend was an adrenaline rush that left many hearts pounding. As for the races, they were obviously NOS-powered and a high octane rush to say the least. Dom (Diesel) shows sympathy to those he leaves in a trail of dust with his unnatural skill behind the wheel and dare-devil persona. He is quite a challenge for O'Conner (Walker) as he desperately tries to keep up, his racing skills a little rusty.

Being a huge fan of the four movies, my only thoughts and complete attention was on the movie, its every shift of the clutch and rip of the E-brake. Unless you are a car fanatic or a woman idolizing Diesel or Walker, this may not be on the top of your "movies to see" list. But I am already wanting to see the movie a second time.
