SSU's Lady Bears arrive in Sioux City, Iowa, for the National Championship tournament.

Arrived in Sioux City around 6 a.m. (CST) this morning and was gracefully allowed to check into my room. The drive was long and we saw fog and rain that I have never seen before. It became a difficult trip.

Once we arrived the game was everything we had dreamed up as the Bears steamrolled Haskell Indian Nations University 79-40. The ladies shot extremely well from the 3 point line and quieted the loud Haskell fans that made the trip from Lawrence, Kansas. Haskell even bused in a group of students from an Indian reservation to aid their cheering section.

The team will face the winner of the Aquinas (Mich.) and St Francis (In.) game that is currently being played. That game will be Friday morning at 9:30 am (EST).

The Bears will now go to lunch and rest up a bit before this evening's Parade of Champions where each team will be announced to a jam packed Tyson Events Center and they will spell out the letters NAIA on the floor.

More to come! Check out the pictures online and feel free to contact me with any questions about the tournament at todtc@shawnee.edu

Go Bears!!!
